Smart Objects are one of Photoshop's most powerful features. They let you embed images as self-contained containers inside a layer stack — complete with their own transforms, masks, and effects. When you replace the contents of a Smart Object, everything around it stays intact: the drop shadow, the clipping mask, the perspective warp, the rounded-corner frame.
